The Screening centre aims to identify substances that may counteract infectious diseases or tumours from an almost limitless pool of microorganisms and plants.
In Hanover and Braunschweig the Screening centre plans to bundle the search for new natural substances and their chemical further developments.
If natural substances and their chemically modified variants prove to be promising candidates for a new medicine, they will be developed further here, up to the stage of the first clinical tests.
